Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator
Excalibur Land Services is a rapidly growing land clearing and site development contractor specializing in forestry mulching, excavation, demolition, grading, drainage, utilities, and site preparation.
We are looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator who takes pride in producing quality work, thinks ahead, and wants to be part of building one of the premier excavation and land development companies in the region.
This is NOT an entry-level position
Responsibilities
• Operate excavators, dozers, skid steers, compact track loaders and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform land clearing, grading, site preparation, drainage installation, utility excavation, demolition and finish work.
• Read construction plans, grades and elevations.
• Operate GPS machine control systems or be willing to learn.
• Perform daily inspections and basic equipment maintenance.
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of safety and quality.
• Maintain clean and organized job sites.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members.
• Help solve problems before they become delays.
• Assist with forestry mulching and land clearing operations when needed.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Experience with excavators and dozers required.
• GPS grading experience preferred.
• Utility installation experience is a major plus.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to read construction plans and grades.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to lift, climb, work outdoors and perform physical tasks.

This Position Is NOT For
You have only completed an equipment training program with little or no real production experience.
You do not have reliable transportation.
You are unwilling to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, mud or wooded environments.
Safety is not one of your highest priorities.
You frequently change jobs and are looking for another short-term position.
You need constant supervision to stay productive.
